As CSCOPE's only provider of pre-packaged materials specific to the copyrighted CSCOPE activities, ETA/Cuisenaire has developed kits that specifically align with the CSCOPE Science curriculum. These kits are the most cost-effective way to implement the CSCOPE curriculum using hands-on learning materials.

CSCOPE provides lists of needed materials and ETA/Cuisenaire reviews the materials to ensure positive activity results. Material needs across units/lessons have been consolidated where possible to make kits more affordable and easy to use.

Kit quantities are based on an average class size of 30 students, working in 6 groups. To help manage the classroom, each grade level has two kits:

• Nonconsumable Kits are packaged in clear plastic bins and contain materials that can be re-used. These materials only need to be replaced if they are lost or damaged.
  
  
• Consumable Kits are packaged in corrugated cardboard shipper boxes and contain items that are typically used up entirely, or are not reusable as a result of performing the activity.
  
  
• We have provided a downloadable convenience, safety and equipment list for each grade level. Download these lists and use them as a checklist to prepare each classroom for completing the CSCOPE lesson.
  
  
• Items suggested in lessons not included in the kits may include equipment (such as microscopes and balances), live material (such as worms and bugs), items federal laws prohibit from including (such as fishing sinkers and lead), items that could be hazardous (such as hot glue guns), classroom safety items (such as first aid kits and goggles), and some common items that should already be in the classrooms such as paper, tape, scissors, crayons, etc.
  
  
• Consider providing each classroom with its own Consumable Kit and purchasing one Nonconsumable Kit to be shared by several classrooms to maximize your spending dollars!
