ETA/Cuisenaire® Debuts New Corporate Identity at NCTM

VERNON HILLS, IL— In April, the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) held its 78th Annual Meeting in Chicago. The Annual Meeting featured more than 270 exhibitors—including ETA/Cuisenaire, which showcased its new corporate identity and its extensive line of mathematics manipulatives.

ETA/Cuisenaire presented many new mathematics products such as the Daily Tantalizers program and the ETA Math Journal, while NCTM released its revamped mathematics standards, the “Principles and Standards for School Mathematics.” This document showcased the new national benchmarks for mathematics study. These new standards from NCTM will help guide the improvement of mathematics education.

The new mathematics standards place a greater emphasis on basic skills and content knowledge. They are structured for students to master specific basic mathematics concepts at different intervals throughout their K–12 education.
