Vernon
Hills, IL, March 2003—ETA/Cuisenaire
announces MeasureWorks™—
a unique program dedicated to developing students’
measurement skills through systematic instruction and engaging
practice activities with real-world applications.
MeasureWorks
is aligned with NCTM Standards and can be used as a stand-alone
measurement curriculum or as a supplement to an existing
basal program. Over 50 lessons and projects at each level
use grade-appropriate measurement tools to focus on time,
length, area/perimeter, volume/capacity, weight, temperature,
and angles through hands-on experiments.
Each
grade-level MeasureWorks Program offers a Teacher’s
Guide with over 200 pages of lesson plans, reproducible
student activities, and standardized test-based assessment.
Also included in each program is a Toolbox filled with carefully
selected measuring tools—enough for a class of 24
students working cooperatively.
